July 4th Celebration at Willow Pond!

Please join us on July 4th from 12pm to 5pm for a Bar-B-Q to celebrate America's birthday!

The pool will be open and burgers will be served around 4pm!  We are planning for a time of fun, friends, and good memories!

We will also host the first annual Willow Pond 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on the new court!  There will be two brackets: ages 13 and under, ages 14 and older.  All are welcome to play (including non-Willow Pond residents).  Sign up in the Community Center with Rickey Fanning.

Real Men and Wise Women Serve the Homeless

Three boys of the Real Men Club and three girls of the Wise Women Club served at a Blood N' Fire Bar-B-Q recently with Rickey Fanning and Suzanne Wallace.  The boys and girls were invited to serve along side Rickey and Suzanne as they helped to provide lunch for over 100 homeless friends.  The kids did a great job living out one of the Kids Club themes: We Serve Others.  Great job guys, we are proud of you!

Summer Activities Update!

We are having a blast at Willow Pond this summer!  So far, we have enjoyed two Flag Football Superbowls, a Finish Strong Basketball Camp, and an Art Camp.  The Flag Football Superbowls have seen two teams win it all in the final seconds, and some truly brilliant officiating.

The Finish Strong Basketball Camp saw 28 kids attend.  Those who finished strong by completing the camp received a new basketball and a certificate.

Art Camp was under the direction of Suzanne Wallace's daughter, Lindsey.  The kids enjoyed creating masks and learning how to weave as they spent 3 hours each day in the camp.  There were lots of smiles and plenty of glue left on the tables.  Thank you to Lindsey for her direction and to Allison for her help!

If you have been missing out on these activities, don't worry!  We have more to come!  Starting Monday, July 5th we have Math Champs!  Match Champs will be a fun time run by Jayda to help 4th - 8th graders with math skills.  The camp will run from 1pm to 2pm every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for the rest of the summer.  Come join us in the Community Center for a fun time!

Behind Every Door will host a second Finish Strong Basketball Camp on July 17, 24, 31, and August 7.  The camp runs for 4 consecutive Saturdays from 10am to 12pm.  Those who finish strong will receive a new basketball and a certificate! 

We also have Vacation Bible School coming up July 26 - 30, from 10am to 1pm each day.  Our own Rickey Fanning will be leading the VBS, and we hope to see you there!

On August 6th, we will have our first Kids Club Movie Night.  Join us for popcorn and a fun movie at 6pm on August 6th!

Thank You Willow Pond Owners

Thank you to the Owners of Willow Pond!  They generously provided a new basketball hoop and expanded the basketball court.  The new hoop is NBA style with a glass backboard, and a sight to be seen!  Head down to the basketball court at Willow Pond to get in a pick-up game and see the new hoop!  Thank you Owners!
